Bayliner Boats - Canadian Yachting

Hi Gang, Rick here from Bayliner Boats. Making its debut at the 50th anniversary of the Toronto International Boat Show this January 20, 2008 , is a total redesign of Canada 's largest audited circulation boating publication, Canadian Yachting and the Canadian Yachting web site.

Highlighted by an elegant, new version of the Canadian Yachting logo, the February 2008 issue features outstanding new art direction from cover to cover. In particular, subtle but important changes to the type and leading of the article layouts opens up the design for more white space achieving significantly improved ease of reading.

"When you're working with Canada 's best established boating publication brand, a new logo and magazine redesign of this sort is a major undertaking and should set the design stage for years to come," said publisher Elizabeth Kerr .

As both president and publisher, Elizabeth worked closely with art director Allan Bates and the rest of the team at Kerrwil Publications Limited to create the new look for Canadian Yachting. Since taking control of the publication five years ago, Kerr has steadily made improvements in the quality of editorial, design and layout. The 148-page February 2008 issue is perfect bound, varnished and printed on PFEC-approved paper.

Canadian Yachting is independently audited by the CCAB with the largest paid circulation home delivery of any boating publication in Canada. Canadian Yachting is celebrates its 37th year in 2008 making it one of Canada 's oldest and best established publications for the marine industry. Thanks to Boating Industry Canada for this.
